Why book a move-in clean?
Even when the previous tenants or owners have cleaned, a new home rarely feels clean to you. Kitchen cupboards hold someone else’s crumbs, bathrooms have someone else’s grime in the grout, and dust settles while the property sits empty. A move-in clean resets the house before your things go in. An empty home is also much quicker to clean properly than one full of boxes.
What’s included
- Kitchen cupboards, drawers and pantry cleaned inside and out
- Oven, stovetop, rangehood, dishwasher and fridge cleaned
- Bathrooms and toilets scrubbed and disinfected, including showers, screens, tiles and grout
- Wardrobes, shelving and linen cupboards wiped out
- Skirting boards, doors, light switches and power points
- Inside windows, sills and tracks
- All floors vacuumed and mopped
How much does a move-in clean cost?
A move-in clean covers the same ground as an end of lease / move out clean, so we price it the same way: as a fixed quote based on the property. An apartment takes less time than a family house, and a home left in poor condition takes longer than one cleaned properly at the end of the last lease. Send us the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, the suburb, your move-in date and a few photos if you have them, and we’ll give you a price.
When to book
Book your move-in clean for after you get the keys and before the removalists arrive. If the dates are tight, we can often clean on the morning of the move and finish before the truck turns up. Book early in peak moving periods around the end and start of the month.
Leaving a rental at the same time? Book an end of lease / move out clean for your old place.
