What does an end of lease / move out clean include?
We work from the same room-by-room checklist property managers use at the final inspection. A standard end of lease / move out clean includes:
Kitchen
- Oven, stovetop and rangehood degreased, including filters
- Cupboards and drawers cleaned inside and out
- Benchtops, splashback, sink and taps
- Dishwasher and fridge cleaned, where they are part of the property
Bathrooms and laundry
- Showers, screens and baths scrubbed, including soap scum and water marks
- Toilets cleaned and disinfected
- Tiles and grout, mirrors, vanities and fittings
- Laundry tub, taps, cupboards and behind appliances
Bedrooms, living areas and throughout
- Built-in wardrobes, shelves and cupboards inside and out
- Skirting boards, light switches and marks around door handles
- High dusting, including light fittings and cobwebs
- Inside windows, sills and tracks
- Marks spot-cleaned from walls (full wall washing on request)
- Carpets vacuumed and hard floors vacuumed and mopped
Optional extras
- Carpet steam cleaning
- Outside windows
- Pressure washing of balconies, patios and outdoor areas
How much does end of lease / move out cleaning cost?
End of lease / move out cleaning with Queens Of Cleans is quoted as a fixed price rather than booked by the hour. The price depends on the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, the condition of the oven and bathrooms, and whether you want extras like carpet steam cleaning or outside windows. A one-bedroom apartment in good condition takes far less time than a four-bedroom house after a long tenancy, and a fixed quote means you aren’t paying for that uncertainty. To get a price, send us the property size, the suburb, your move-out date and any extras through the quote form or by SMS on 0433 496 689. Our hourly rate for other cleaning is $55 per cleaner per hour, which is the basis for every quote. Every end of lease / move out clean is covered by our 100% satisfaction guarantee: if the agent finds something we missed, we come back and fix it.
Getting your bond back
Property managers compare the property against the ingoing condition report. Cleaning is the most common reason for bond deductions, and the same few areas come up again and again: ovens and rangehoods, shower screens, window tracks, skirting boards, and marks on walls. Our checklist targets those areas first.
To get the best result, book the clean for after the furniture has gone and before you hand back the keys, with power and water still connected. Download our end of lease cleaning checklist to see everything an agent will look at.
Moving into a new place as well?
Many customers pair their vacate clean with a move-in clean at the new property, so they start fresh at both ends of the move.
